ACTIVATING NUTS | HEALTHY HABITS

I want to start a series sharing easy healthy habits I have adopted over the years, habits that I find no one ever really talks about unless asked! I really just want to help you develop healthy habits and change up your diet and life (only if you want to of course) and create a platform for exchange of know-how and your guys' tips!
We are what we eat? No, we are what we digest. I usually soak and dehydrate nuts and seeds for better digestion and bioavailability. It is a process that is commonly called "activation". If you've never heard of that, it's about time! I just put all the dry nuts in a glass jar and fill it with filtered water (I haven't bought water in plastic bottles in years, instead I always use my filter to filter tap water) and let the nuts soak overnight. The next morning I put them in the dehydrator at low temperature (115°F /46°C) for a couple of hours or until they're crispy. What you have now are "activated" nuts.
So easy, and I find that i.e. walnuts lose their bitter taste and taste way better after. Your digestive system will thank you! Post any questions you have in the comments and I'll be glad to answer them!
